Max has well over 20 years of clinical experience, having provided individual, couple, family and group therapy to all types of clientele with variety of disorders and difficulties. He has developed effective treatment strategies and programs for his clientelle; particularly play therapy and parenting program for traumatized and adopted children and their families.

He worked for the State of Utah Division of Family Services for 15 years and has held many positions, but mostly enjoyed those as an Intensive in-home family preservation therapist. He has provided part-time out patient services for LDS Family Services and West Ridge Academy. In addition, Max worked as an addiction counselor and clinical children’s program director for a women and children rehabilitation program operated by the Utah Alcoholoism Foundation. He has also worked for Provo Canyon School; a residential treatment center, where he developed program modules for implementation in institutional settings.

Max specializes in working with children who are struggling with issues of defiant behavior, adoption, attachment disorders, Asperger’s, ADD, ADHD, as well as helping adoptive, biological and blended families work through those challenges. Max also specializes in working with victims, as well as youth perpetrators of sexual abuse. For the past few years Max has had a successful private practice in American Fork and is excited to bring hope and help to children, parents, couples, and families of Advanced Health Clinic. He also enjoys helping to see Couples, Marriages and Families succeed!

Max has certifications in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, RET (Rapid Eye Technique), Brain Gym (Educational Kinesiology) and EFT.

Max loves nature, eating healthy including chocolate, table tennis, volleyball, running, movies, dancing and also singing in the community choir. He is the proud parent of 4 children and 6 grandchildren and lives in Highland Utah.
