Aubrey Madsen, DC

True Function Chiropractic

Dr. Madsen’s patients recover more rapidly from acute injuries, enjoy improved function and performance of their muscles, and often find resolution to chronic pain. By examining and identifying instabilities in the body utilizing Muscle Activation Techniques (also known as AMIT) and Chiropractic adjustments, Dr. Madsen understands the primary cause of chronic joint pain and muscle pain is due to inhibited muscles due to overuse or injury.

Dr. Madsen has always been fascinated with the healing process and how the body functions both biologically and biomechanically. Dr. Madsen has long held a passion for understanding how nutrition effects health and brain function. She loves incorporating all aspects of health by helping people heal and improve their quality of life. She has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Exercise Science: Fitness/Wellness Emphasis and a Minor in Nutrition from Brigham Young University. During her undergraduate studies Dr. Madsen worked as a chiropractic assistant where she experienced chiropractic care first hand… and for the first time as she battled her own lower back pain with a bulging disc. After Dr. Madsen experienced muscle activation her back pain of 2 years was gone. As a result of the treatment, she was able to start running again; which she was especially grateful for since running is her stress reliever. Oddly enough, one of the other benefits Dr. Madsen remembers is being able to open the freezer draw again.

Dr. Madsen says muscle activation is the reason she became a chiropractor and the reason she could become a chiropractor. Without muscle activation her back problem would have prevented her from learning to adjust and sitting through hours on end of lectures during chiropractic school. Dr. Madsen earned her Doctor of Chiropractic Degree from University of Western States in Portland Oregon. She loves being a part of the Advanced Health Clinic team because it gives her the opportunity to work with other amazing practitioners who can work with her to best serve her patients.
